Noticing when someone is tired but determined to remain gracious. Noticing that the small dog at their side represents far more than company. Noticing that the human spirit, even in great age, does not want to be managed but respected.
I spent eighteen years in insurance helping people plan for the unexpected. None of it prepared me for what I witnessed when my mother needed care. Missed shifts. Caregivers who viewed her home as just another stop. An industry that had reduced human beings to invoices. We are here to fix all that.
Templar's Hearth exists to provide what too many families cannot find: steady, competent presence delivered by people who understand that this work matters. We will never be the largest service, nor should we be. What we offer, peace of mind built on consistency and respect, cannot be commodified or summoned with a search bar. It must be earned through daily, deliberate work.

Why We Started
Templar's Hearth exists because the care industry too often fails at the fundamentals.
When my mother needed support following surgery, I watched supposedly professional caregivers treat shifts as inconveniences. Appointments were canceled with barely an apology. Others arrived late or left early, offering excuses instead of reliability. My mother could sense it immediately, that particular loneliness of being treated as a task rather than a person.
The experience revealed something important: most agencies view care as a staffing problem to solve. Fill the shift, check the box, move on. But care isn't an assembly line. It requires people who understand that showing up matters, that consistency builds trust, and that respect isn't something you deliver when convenient.
I founded Templar's Hearth to prove a different model works. One where reliability isn't aspirational but absolute. Where caregivers are selected not just for credentials but for genuine aptitude and character. Where families don't spend energy managing the service because the service actually manages itself.
